Private Lessons

I enjoy helping students interested in classical vocal training with literature in English and in foreign languages, opera, musical theatre, and art song. I have enjoyed guiding hard-working high school students on to successful auditions, acceptances and scholarships at the collegiate level, as well as for graduate school, summer programs and other young artist programs.

I also enjoy teaching adult students who wish to have more freedom in singing, expand their vocal range, or wish to contribute more to their local church choir or other entity.

Technique & Beyond

Lessons focus on release of habitual muscle tension having to do with the neck, jaw, tongue, and other articulators. I also focus primarily on finding and using one’s full volume capacity for freeing breath management skills, which is the basis for good singing. This can lead to freedom in range expansion, dynamics, articulation, and many other factors.

Students have gone on to receive scholarship awards for vocal studies in college, are currently in graduate studies in voice, or are in young artist programs across the country. Others are professional performers in their communities.
